Freeing space when the /var/ partition is full
To free some space on the /var/ partition, you can safely remove the cached RPM package saved on /var/cache/yum/update.
To remove the RPM package:
Log into the ESX host as root using an SSH client.
Run the command:
yum clean all
Rerun the command:
df -h
