Removing a datastore in Lab Manager deletes all its virtual machines, media stores, and media files from the Lab Manager database only. This operation does not actually delete files on the datastore.
Out of the box, only (System) Administrators can remove datastores and as you can probably imagine, for good reason. This permission should be delegated only to trustworthy administrators.
